Hump day just got a little better. Dungeonesse share a new cut from their forthcoming debut, out officially on May 14. Titled “Nightlight,” the song premiered earlier today at Pitchfork. It’s a break-up song of sorts and an especially impressive display of Jenn Wasner’s vocal talents. Stream above.
We understand many of you are itching for pre-order details. Sit tight, we’ll have links on links very soon.
With a much anticipated (and needed) summer nearing, Cayucas’s album could not be available for pre-order at a better time. For starters, when you pre-order Bigfoot at SC Distribution you’ll be able to download the entire album immediately; this means you have at least a solid month to memorize all the lyrics in preparation for summer drives and swims soundtracked by Cayucas. Your ordering options include the album vinyl or CD formats; plus a deluxe bundle (shown above) featuring the album on both LP (first 100 orders get translucent blue vinyl) & CD, a Cayucas beach ball and 17 x 22″ glossy poster featuring Bigfoot album art.
We’re keeping it all in the family. Cayucas’s “Cayucos” was recently remixed by labelmates Dungeonesse and it’s, well, perfect. You can check out the reworked track below or at YVYNYL where it premiered this morning!
FINALLY – do not forget to check out Cayucas at SXSW next week. You’ll find their complete schedule and other tour dates HERE.
Dungeonesse have taken on John Grant’s dancefloor fix and turned it into a “love-drunk woozy rework of the subterranean four-on-the-floor banger.” The track comes from Grant’s forthcoming record Pale Green Ghosts. Stream below or at NOISEY.
Make your way to the dance floor – Dungeonesse announce their self-titled, debut album! Set for release on May 14, Dungeonesse is comprised of ten bumping tracks, perfectly selected to give the listener just what they want (need); a surefire for getting your body up and moving. We’re envisioning late night/early morning, summer dance parties with this record on repeat. You can stream the latest single “Shucks” above or at Pitchfork! On it, Wasner’s Ciara-like breathy coo comes to the fore over Ehrens’ gigantic production – Top 40 with a connoisseur’s touch. Album artwork featured below, with the track listing at the end of the post!
You’ll remember that Dungeonesse is the newly minted pop project of Jenn Wasner (Wye Oak, Flock of Dimes) and Jon Ehrens (White Life). We shared the first taste back in November with the “Drive You Crazy” video.
