It’s been a good year for BLK JKS, and now music journalists are calling them one of 2009’s hottest breakout acts. The band’s recent visit and acoustic performance at SPIN’s New York offices wowed their staff, and luckily was captured on video for the rest of us to enjoy too. The set included “Lakeside” and “Standby” from their full-length debut After Robots, and the traditional South African protest song “Mzabalazo.” Watch the performance HERE.
BLK JKS are also nominated for Best New Artist in SPIN.com’s 2009 Reader’s Poll. Cast your vote HERE.
